Chicken and the Egg Designs
Every piece in the Chicken & the Egg Designs collection is a one-of-a-kind creation. Beads of the highest quality—Japanese and Czech glass and crystal, precious and semi-precious stones, pearls, and vintage finds—are crocheted together to form ropes for necklaces, bracelets, earrings, and rings. The two lines in the collection, Couture and Ready-To-Wear, are a reflection of two lifetimes worth of experience in the beaded arts.
Chicken & the Egg Designs is the collaboration of mother and daughter, Bert Rachel Freed and Dana Elizabeth Freed. Together, they design and produce dramatic beadwork of exquisite craftsmanship and opulent colors. Chicken & the Egg Designs has created a signature style that occupies a space between art and jewelry.
Their Book, Bead Crochet Jewelry: An Inspired Journey Through 27 Designs, was released by St. Martin's Press in 2012.
